Spring Ceramic X Floral Workshop, 24’

We’re so excited to finally host our first workshop in the new studio space. It’s our second collab workshop with Merritt Ceramics in Oakland, and the turnout was amazing (thank you all for your enthusiastic support~!) We wanted to encourage students to create vases for everyday use, and take home basic principles and techniques for floral arranging in the home.

We spent a Sunday afternoon at Merritt’s doing a hand-building workshop with Anna. Participants hand-built their vases of all shapes and sizes - this time we had guided them to create vases with a large enough diameter to allow for larger, bigger arrangements. Thank you Amanda Wei for capturing our workshop session!

Two weeks after, the vases are beautifully glazed and fired! Our students came over to our new studio space, where we learned to create arrangements with basic, seasonal ingredients - foliage, texture, and focal flowers. Shout out to Golden Coast Collective for the floral delivery, and Hannah Marich for capturing our workshop!
